A student-led F1 in Schools team from the UAE, blending aerodynamic engineering with strategic enterprise. Inspired by the Peregrine Falcon and the Stryx — built to race, built to win.
STEM Racing (formerly F1 in Schools) is a student-led team of 3–6 people that competes in the F1 in Schools Development Class. We bring together engineering, design, and business skills to build high-performance miniature F1 cars. Along the way, we develop key abilities in STEM and enterprise.
Our name, Perstrix, originates from a blend of Peregrine Falcon and Stryx (Latin for owl) — two birds known for their unmatched speed, precision, and power. The Peregrine Falcon symbolises our pursuit of extreme performance and aerodynamic excellence, while Stryx represents intelligence and strategy. Together, they reflect the perfect balance between engineering skill and calculated design decisions.
Our car was engineered from the ground up using industry-standard tools and a data-driven design philosophy. Every aerodynamic decision was validated through iterative simulation before manufacture — combining cutting-edge software with precision manufacturing to produce a competition-ready vehicle.
